Peter Sevcik

Peter Sevcik is the Founder of NetForecast and is a leading network performance expert. An Internet pioneer, Peter was among the first to measure and develop Internet performance improvement techniques. He helped design more than 100 corporate and commercial networks. In addition, Peter invented the Apdex performance reporting methodology, and has co-patented application response-time prediction and network congestion management algorithms.

Peter analyzes Internet performance from multiple perspectives, including user experience, internet latency, bandwidth consumption, and traffic management. He is a neutral authority assessing the accuracy of internet performance claims.

He is a senior member of the IEEE and presented the IEEE Packet Switching and Network Performance seminar series. He is also a member of the ACM, having served as the editor of the Computer Communications Review. In addition he is a member of CMG and the SCTE. As a charter member of ANSI and ISO study groups on Public Data Networks, he directly contributed to the development of international communications standards. Peter holds the patent on application response-time prediction.

He is a graduate of the College of Engineering at Villanova University and recipient of their Professional Achievement Award.
