Sterling Orr

Sterling Orr, CFA, currently serves as Chief Investment Officer at The Kernel LLC, where responsibilities include sourcing deal flow and leading underwriting processes through financial modeling and capital structure optimization. Additionally, Sterling acts as a Strategic Advisor for NetSpeek, focusing on business modeling and GTM strategy for the innovative Language-Enabled Network Assistant (LENA). Previously, Sterling held the position of Senior Portfolio Manager at Barings, overseeing over $5 billion in discretionary absolute return assets, and served as Head of Trading at MassMutual Financial Group. Sterling's early career included roles as a Block Trader at UBS Investment Bank and KCG Holdings, Inc., following an academic background featuring an MBA in Finance from Babson F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business and a Bachelor's Degree in Economics from Boston College.
