Matthew Van Deventer is Network's Archival Researcher, a self-proclaimed super sleuth.
Having graduated from Simon Fraser University with a degree in History as well as completing the broadcast journalism program, with honours, at the British Columbia Institute of Technology, Matthew has found a harmonious balance focusing his training towards archival research with Network Entertainment.
What started as a contract to work on three I Am’s in 2015 has blossomed into a career built around hunting and gathering audio and visual materials that bring Network Entertainment’s documentaries to life. Matthew has handled, with care, many priceless sentimental memories in the form of family photo albums and home videos, followed the mysteries of countless hours of lost footage, and enabled the creative teams at Network to showcase a carefully curated collection of treasured content to audiences around the world.
