Hugh Rosen

Hugh Rosen is a Research Scientist and Scientific Advisor at Neumora. Hugh has over thirteen years of experience in the field of medicinal chemistry and has been a lead on many successful projects.

Hugh Rosen graduated from UC Berkeley with a degree in Chemistry. Hugh then went on to work at Theravance Biopharma, Inc. for eight years, where they were a research scientist and medicinal chemistry lead. In 2015, they left Theravance to join BlackThorn Therapeutics as their VP of Preclinical Sciences. Hugh was responsible for leading the Kappa Opioid Receptor Antagonist Program and heading the preclinical toxicology and DMPK/ADME department. In 2020, BlackThorn was acquired by Neumora and Hugh became their Scientific Advisor.

Hugh Rosen started their educational career by obtaining a BS in Chemistry/Biochemistry from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Hugh then went on to get their PhD in Organic Chemistry from UC Irvine.
