Yixin Wu

Yixin Wu is a Materials Engineer at Neuralink since February 2022, specializing in the development of advanced materials for biomedical applications. Prior experience includes a role as a Research Assistant at Northwestern University, where Yixin designed a wireless optofluidic drug delivery system, engineered biocompatible materials, invented a microfluidic valve, and developed wearable sensors for biomarker detection, while leading interdisciplinary teams. Previous research roles at Tsinghua University involved the creation of a biodegradable battery, and an internship at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign focused on silicon nanomembranes for implantable electronics. Yixin holds a PhD in Materials Science and Engineering from Northwestern University and a Bachelor's degree in the same field from Tsinghua University.
