Robert Scott

Robert Scott is currently an advisor at Neurologix, Inc. and has been with the company since August 2020. Prior to that, they were with GroundSwell SPC as an operations advisor from March 2020 to July 2021. Robert has also held positions at Jibe and Opal, where they served as general counsel and VP of operations from July 2014 to December 2019.

At Opal, Scott was responsible for developing and implementing key strategic business initiatives to achieve the company’s sales and growth objectives. Robert oversaw all aspects of daily operations for a business with 100+ employees across 4 offices, operating in the United States and England, UK. Robert also supervised the HR, IT, InfoSec, Facilities, and Legal leadership teams; collaborating with Managers to ensure company initiatives were understood and achieved.

During their time at Opal, Scott made several key accomplishments including growing the company from 20 employees and less than $1 Million in annual revenue to 100+ employees, four offices in two countries, and strong year-over-year revenue growth. Robert also successfully led a key strategic acquisition and raised $26M to achieve a $100M+ enterprise valuation. In addition, Scott received SOC 2 and ISO27k compliance certifications with no findings in 2019 and negotiated key contracts with multiple Fortune 500 companies, including Microsoft, Levi's, Bank of America, Starbucks, Target, Airbnb, and Uber.

Robert Scott first attended the University of Colorado Boulder where they obtained their B.A. in Philosophy as well as a Conflict Resolution Certificate. Robert then went on to attend Lewis & Clark Law School and obtain their J.D. in Business Law. Finally, they received certification from the Oregon State Bar as a Licensed Attorney.
