Prasanna V. Salian

Prasanna V. Salian is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in economic development and international finance. Since January 2019, Prasanna has served as an Alternate Director and Director’s Adviser at the New Development Bank (NDB). Concurrently, Prasanna has held the position of Director at the Department of Economic Affairs within the Ministry of Finance, Government of India, starting July 2018, and serves as an Alternate Director and Director’s Adviser at the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) since August 2018. Additionally, Prasanna is an Executive Board Member at the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) from August 2022 to July 2024. Educational qualifications include a Master of Public Administration from the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, a PhD in Economics from the University of Mysore, and a Master of Arts in Economics from Mangalore University.
