Mykel Spinks

Mykel Spinks has extensive experience in process operations and maintenance management, currently serving as the Process Plant Operations Supervisor at New Gold Inc. since December 2018. Prior to this role, Mykel held the position of Crane Maintenance Manager at STELCO from January 2016 to December 2018, where responsibilities included managing a unionized team for crane maintenance, implementing safety programs, and overseeing capital projects. Mykel's career also includes roles at United States Steel Corporation, initially as a Plant Reliability Specialist and later as an Operations Shift Manager, focusing on maintenance reliability and operational efficiency. Early experience as a Farm Supervisor at Breman Farms established foundational skills in equipment operation and productivity improvement. Mykel holds an Advanced Diploma in Business Administration, Management and Operations from Niagara College.
