Ashoka Karunarathne

Ashoka Karunarathne is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the New Jersey Institute of Technology since October 2022, and concurrently serves as a Senior Lecturer at the University of Sri Jayewardenepura since May 2021. Previous positions include Postdoctoral Researcher at Eindhoven University of Technology and Research Assistant at the National Center for Physical Acoustics, University of Mississippi, where expertise in Resonant Ultrasound Spectroscopy was developed, focusing on the elastic properties of thermoelectric SnSe and porous ceramic materials. Ashoka also has experience as a Teaching Assistant at the University of Mississippi and the University of Peradeniya. Academic credentials comprise a Doctor of Philosophy in Physics from the University of Mississippi and a Bachelor of Science in Physics from the University of Peradeniya.
