Anthony L. Marchetta is the Chair of the Board of Trustees at the New Jersey Organ and Tissue Sharing Network, Inc. Anthony has over 40 years of experience in both the public and private sector.
Anthony previously served as the Executive Director of the New Jersey Housing and Mortgage Finance Agency from September 2010 to December 2017. During their tenure at NJ HMFA, Mr. Marchetta instituted significant new programs, including the Multifamily Conduit Bond Program, Mortgage Backed Securities Program and the Supportive Housing Connection Program. Anthony led the Agency to establish new meaningful policies in areas such as development cost containment and delinquent asset management procedures.
The NJ HMFA is a $ 4 Billion independent state authority with over 330 employees that is AA rated by both S&P and Moody’s. It provides financing to developers of affordable and workforce housing and direct mortgages of up to $425, 000 to NJ home buyers.
Also, the Agency has been recognized by HUD for its smart growth and opportunity incentives in the federal Low Income Housing Tax Credits Qualified Allocation Plan, which resulted in better locations of new tax credit projects. In addition, since 2012 they have led NJ HMFA's response to Super-storm Sandy, which has deployed nearly $750 million through several programs designed to stabilize Sandy-impacted towns and created over 7000 of new housing opportunities for those impacted by the storm. Anthony L. Marchetta graduated with a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Rutgers University - Newark and a Master's degree in City/Urban, Community and Regional Planning from Rutgers University.
