Sheila Mendez is currently a board member at the New Mexico Technology Council. Sheila has over 20 years of experience in the IT field. Sheila started their career with the City of Albuquerque where they spent 7 years as the Applications Development Coordinator and Sr. Systems Analyst. In 1999, Sheila took a position with Public Service Company of New Mexico (PNM) where they spent 6 years as the IT Manager in Customer Service and Acting Director. Sheila's experience and knowledge in the IT field makes their a valuable asset to the New Mexico Technology Council.
Sheila Mendez has an Executive MBA in Business Administration, Management and Operations from The University of New Mexico. Sheila also has a BBA in Business Computer Systems from UNM Anderson School of Management. In addition, they completed the Utility Executive Course (UEC) at the University of Idaho and is certified by Loyalist Certification Services in ITIL Foundations and SOA, by the Project Management Institute in Project Management Professional, and by APMG International in Change Management Registered Practitioner.
