Leah Crane

Leah Crane is an accomplished physics and space reporter with significant experience in the field of science communication. Since November 2016, Leah has been with New Scientist, where reporting on physics and space topics is the primary focus. Prior to this role, Leah worked as a freelance fact checker for Discover Magazine, ensuring the accuracy of articles. Leah's background includes freelance science writing and an editorial internship with SpaceNews, where writing and editing were key responsibilities. Earlier experience as a benefits paralegal at Nash Disability Law involved administrative tasks and client communication. Leah also has a tutoring background in physics and English, alongside involvement in theater production at Carleton College, where various roles contributed to nine shows. Leah holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Physics and European Studies from Carleton College.
