Aaron Gottschalk, Ph.D., serves as the Technical Manager of Genomics at New York Blood Center since November 2016, overseeing all technical and research aspects related to the National Center for Blood Group Genomics (NCBGG) and supervising staff and clinical testing processes. As a founding member of NCBGG, Aaron implemented core molecular and genomics processes to enhance blood antigen typing. Prior to this role, Aaron was a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Stowers Institute for Medical Research, managing research projects in epigenetics and establishing a transgenic knockout mouse line for the ALC1 oncogene. Aaron’s early research experience includes significant discoveries as a Doctoral Research Scientist at the University of Kansas Medical Center, focusing on the oncogene ALC1 and its implications in liver cancer. Additional roles include Research Associate at Kansas State University and Masters Research Scientist at Linnaeus University, with extensive educational credentials in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the University of Kansas Medical Center and Linnaeus University.
