Amy Raffel, Ph.D., serves as the Public Programs Manager at the New York Transit Museum since September 2022. Previously, Amy held the position of Head of Content at CAA Advancing Art & Design, overseeing a team focused on academic content and events. Amy's experience includes role as the Andrew Mellon Interpretation Research Fellow at Queens Museum, where research and interpretative strategies for various audiences were developed. A Senior Genome Contributor at Artsy, contributions were made to The Artsy Genome Project, alongside serving as a Research Fellow to the Curator at Large. Amy's past roles also include curriculum design for online art historical courses at StrongMind, public engagement at the James Gallery, and teaching at Lehman College. Academic credentials include a Ph.D. in Contemporary Art History from The Graduate Center, CUNY, a Master’s Degree from The Institute of Fine Arts, NYU, and dual Bachelor's Degrees from Penn State University.
