Brian Blake

Brian Blake is a Project Geologist at Newmont Corporation with extensive experience in various geological settings, including open pit and underground deposits. Since October 2017, Brian has specialized in geology involving breccia-hosted, low sulfide alkaline gold deposits with high-grade gold telluride veins. Prior to this role, Brian served as a Project & Ore Control Geologist at Klondex Mines Ltd., focusing on underground, vein-hosted low-sulfidation epithermal Au-Ag deposits. Brian's career also includes positions at Newmont Corporation as a Mine Geologist and Geologist, where responsibilities included supervising drilling operations and logging exploration targets. Early experience includes working as a Mud Logger at Horizon Well Logging, LLC. Brian holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Geological and Earth Sciences from the University of Rhode Island. Skills include drill planning, oriented core logging, and proficiency in geologic software such as Leapfrog and Vulcan.
