Thierry Kankeu Fonkou

Thierry Kankeu Fonkou has a robust background in mining and civil engineering, with extensive experience in various technical roles within the mining sector. Currently serving as a Mining Technician in Drilling and Blasting and Ventilation at Newmont Corporation since September 2021, Thierry has previously held positions at Wallbridge Mining Company Limited, Glencore, and CSI Mining and Equipment, among others, contributing to tasks such as drilling activity monitoring, database management, and geological sampling. Thierry's early career includes internships focused on geodetic surveys and soil sampling with the New Brunswick Department of Natural Resources, as well as civil engineering roles involving surveying and project supervision. Thierry holds a DEC in Mining Technology and Exploitation from Collège communautaire du Nouveau-Brunswick, attained between 2015 and 2017.
