Ernie Pearson

Ernie Pearson is a seasoned attorney with extensive experience in economic development, corporate law, international law, public finance, and commercial real estate. Currently a member of Nexsen Pruet, LLC since January 2009, Pearson also founded The Sanford Holshouser Business Development Group, which provides economic development consulting across multiple states. Previous roles include serving as Assistant Secretary of Economic Development for the North Carolina Department of Commerce from 1989 to 1993, where Pearson led successful recruitment programs recognized nationally, and as Chairman of the North Carolina Industrial Commission from 1987 to 1989. Pearson's early career included serving as a Judge Advocate in the US Army and Director of Special Projects for the North Carolina Department of Transportation. Educational credentials include a J.D. from the University of North Carolina School of Law and a B.A. from North Carolina State University.
