Gerie Smit is an experienced speaker, writer, and communications professional with a background that spans various roles in media and education. Since January 2015, Gerie has served as a speaker at Speakers Academy®, sharing personal experiences as a survivor of the 2001 Volendam New Year's fire through the book "Nieuwe Handen." Gerie has also worked as a writer for Overamstel Uitgevers and a barmaid at Cocktailbar & Drinkz Volendam, while contributing to NH Nieuws as a freelance editor.
