Dr Papakas Wijeyendram

Dr. Papakas Wijeyendram is an Internal Medicine Trainee at NHS since July 2022, with experience in care of the elderly, renal, gastroenterology, intensive care, and haematology. Previously, Dr. Wijeyendram served as a Foundation Doctor, gaining experience in renal, urology, acute medicine, community geriatrics, respiratory medicine, and emergency medicine. Dr. Wijeyendram held multiple leadership positions at the Royal Society of Medicine from September 2019 to July 2022, including President of the Students Section, alongside experience as a 111 Dental Call Handler at South Central Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust. Educational background includes a Medicine BMBS with BMedSci from the University of Southampton, where involvement in various medical societies and event organization was demonstrated, as well as roles in recreational management at Ardmore Language Schools Ltd. Prior experience also includes serving as an NHS 111 Health Advisor at Care UK from March 2015 to June 2016.
