Fatima Clemente

Fatima is a neonatologist senior consultant and a NIDCAP Trainer at The São João University Hospital in Porto, Portugal, in a level III unit.

She is Co-Director and NIDCAP trainer of São João NIDCAP Training Center Portugal since 2015.

Her special interests include Infant Neurobehavior and how to develop strategies to implement the NIDCAP conceptual model at the bedside in different NICUs, different frameworks and cultural structures.

As a member of the Board of Directors, Fatima’s main goals include: how to develop additional ways to make NIDCAP education and implementation more accessible and less expensive globally; implementation of the NIDCAP Foundation education program; creating different ways of delivering education and using new forms of online communication.
