Tristan Meyers

Tristan Meyers is an experienced meteorologist currently serving as an Analytical Meteorologist and Forecaster at NIWA since January 2021, focusing on S2S timescales and developing machine learning workflows for real-time forecasting. Prior to this role, Tristan worked at Nicholson Consulting as a Meteorologist and Data Analyst, specializing in Integrated Data Infrastructure and demonstrating proficiency in SQL, R, and Python. Tristan also has experience as a Senior Broadcast Meteorologist at Australian News Channel (Sky News) and as an Operational Meteorologist at Weatherzone. Tristan holds a Master of Meteorology from Victoria University of Wellington and dual bachelor's degrees in Physical Oceanography and Environmental Engineering with a focus on Coastal Engineering from UNSW.
