Sarah Ragland

Sarah Ragland is a seasoned compliance officer with extensive legal experience in health care and data protection. Currently serving as Compliance Officer in the Office of the General Counsel at Nixon Peabody LLP since September 2015, Sarah develops and implements compliance policies for diverse client and legal requirements. Previously, as General Counsel for the Massachusetts Center for Health Information and Analysis, responsibilities included overseeing legal compliance related to health care data and guiding state procurement and ethics laws. Sarah also served as Senior Counsel/Assistant Attorney General at the Massachusetts Attorney General's Office, focusing on investigating health-related fraud, and gained valuable experience as an associate at Wilmer Cutler Pickering Hale and Dorr LLP. With a JD from Boston College Law School and a master's degree in Journalism from Columbia University, Sarah’s background includes work as a staff writer for various publications prior to entering the legal field.
