Shayne Huff is a Senior Associate at Nixon Peabody since 2006, specializing in securing intellectual property rights for scientific discoveries. With experience in working with a diverse range of clients, including start-ups and large corporations, Shayne Huff focuses on developing strategies for procuring valuable intellectual property rights and managing patent portfolios both in the U.S. and internationally across multiple countries. Prior to Nixon Peabody, Shayne Huff was a Patent Agent at Lahive & Cockfield, LLP, where responsibilities included patent application preparation and analysis in biotechnology and life sciences. Educational qualifications include a J.D. in Intellectual Property Law from Suffolk University Law School, a BA in Microbiology with a concentration in Genetic Engineering from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and a Ph.D. in Microbiology and Immunology with a focus on Molecular Biology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
