Shannon Doyle is a PhD candidate at The Netherlands Cancer Institute, focusing on calcified lesions in women detected during screenings. Previously, Shannon served as an artificial intelligence researcher at Centrum Wiskunde & Informatica, developing deep learning models for artifact removal in medical imaging. As a scholar with the Studienstiftung des deutschen Volkes, Shannon fostered connections among academically excellent students and participated in seminars to enhance professional skills. Additional experience includes founding Smart Flora, a startup dedicated to personalized probiotics, and participating in various roles such as venture founder at Deep Science Ventures and consultant for the Oxbridge Biotech Roundtable. Shannon co-founded AlphaBrick, a platform for synthetic gene circuitry design, and led the UCL Life Sciences Society, significantly increasing its membership and event participation. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Bioinformatics from the University of Amsterdam and a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacology from UCL.
