Mehnaz Tabassum

Mehnaz Tabassum is the Director of NL Eats. Prior to this, they were a Premier’s Youth Council Member with the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador from January 2020 to November 2021. In this role, they provided advice to the Premier and Provincial Government on topics important to youth. Mehnaz has also held the role of Visible Minority Ambassador with the Government of Canada from November 2018 to April 2022. In this role, they were responsible for promoting diversity and inclusion within the Canadian government. Before their career in government, Mehnaz worked as an HR Program Manager in the Leadership & Learning Directorate at the Canada Revenue Agency.

Mehnaz Tabassum has a post-graduate diploma in business/commerce from Memorial University of Newfoundland, as well as a certificate of validation for five years full-time business administration work experience. Mehnaz also has a bachelor's degree in commerce from Memorial University of Newfoundland. In addition, they are certified by the Project Management Institute as a Project Management Professional (PMP) and by Memorial University of Newfoundland as a Certificate in Public Policy holder.
