Lydia Kalafateli

Lydia Kalafateli is a highly skilled professional in the biotech field with extensive experience in scientific research and venture development. Currently serving as Lead Biotech Domain & Partnerships at NLC - Health Ventures since April 2022, Lydia leads due diligence on biotech opportunities and scouts innovations within academic and corporate settings. Prior to this, Lydia worked as a Senior Scientist at AstraZeneca, overseeing in vivo target validation projects and promoting diversity and inclusion initiatives. Additional roles include Consulting Advisor at Guidepoint, Guest Reviewer for MDPI, and Postdoctoral and Doctoral Researcher at the Sahlgrenska Academy. Lydia also holds advanced degrees, including a PhD in Medical Sciences from the University of Gothenburg and an MBA from Quantic School of Business and Technology.
