Matti Aarnio

Matti Aarnio is a seasoned professional in educational consulting and instructional design, currently serving as a Senior Development Consultant at Nordea since August 2019. Aarnio has previously held roles as a Lead Instructional Designer at Konecranes, where leadership of a global network focused on online learning development occurred, and as a University Lecturer at the University of Helsinki, teaching various educational courses. Experience as an Educational Consultant with itslearning AS involved enhancing learning practices for schools through digital tools. Additionally, Aarnio has been a Freelance Trainer for the Hospital District of Helsinki and Uusimaa, contributing to the professional development of physicians. Aarnio's academic background includes a PhD in Educational Sciences from the University of Helsinki, where extensive research was conducted on collaborative knowledge construction in problem-based learning.
