Mitchell Joachim is a highly accomplished academic and professional in architecture and urban design, currently serving as a Professor in Practice of Architecture and Urban Design at New York University since May 2010. Co-Founder of Terreform ONE, Mitchell has held roles including Director of Research and Development and Former Executive Director. In addition, Mitchell is the Program Chair at the Norman Foster Foundation since June 2023 and has previously contributed as a TED Senior Fellow from September 2010 to December 2019. Mitchell has held visiting professor positions at numerous institutions, including Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Cornell University, and the University of Toronto. Academic qualifications include a PhD in Architecture, Computation from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a Master of Architecture in Urban Design from Harvard University Graduate School of Design, alongside other degrees from prestigious universities.
