Brandon Outen

Brandon Outen is a dedicated Service Forester with extensive experience in forestry and land management. Currently employed by the North Carolina Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services since August 2018, Brandon specializes in conducting fieldwork and developing sustainable forest management plans tailored to landowner objectives. Previous roles include working as a Forestry Technician for the Bureau of Land Management, where Brandon collected forest inventory data and delineated timber sale boundaries, and as a Workcrew member and Research Assistant at North Carolina State University, engaging in forest inventory and provenance-progeny research. Additionally, Brandon gained seasonal experience as a forester with the Colorado State Forest Service, focusing on forest inventory and timber sale layouts. Brandon holds a Bachelor's degree in Forest Management/Forest Resources Management from North Carolina State University and an Associate of Arts degree from Central Piedmont Community College.
