Dan Way

Dan Way is a seasoned communications professional with extensive experience in journalism and editorial leadership. Currently serving as the Senior Communications Manager at the North Carolina Department of State Treasurer since September 2019, Way has held various significant roles, including Associate Editor at Carolina Journal from June 2012 to June 2019 and Editor at The Chapel Hill Herald from January 2009 to August 2011. Previous positions feature editorial leadership at multiple newspapers such as metro editor at The Herald-Sun and Montgomery Advertiser, managing editor at The Commercial Dispatch, and editor at Delta Democrat Times. Way began a diverse career in journalism at the Williamsport Sun-Gazette as managing editor and holds a BA in journalism/media studies and Spanish from Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania.
