Nate Brown is a graduate research assistant at North Carolina State University, pursuing a Ph.D. in Materials Science since May 2019. Prior research experience includes an undergraduate research assistant role focused on epitaxial film growth for LED devices within the Department of Materials Science and Engineering, where Nate gained expertise in quantitative measurement techniques such as photo-luminescence and X-ray measurements. Additionally, as a research fellow at the ASSIST Center, Nate conducted independent investigations into thermoelectric material systems, discovering various synthesis techniques, including spark-plasma sintering. Nate holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering and a minor in Materials Engineering from North Carolina State University, completed in May 2019.
