Devia Joshi

Devia Joshi is a skilled transportation planner currently working at the North Central Texas Council of Governments since July 2023. Prior to this role, Devia served as a program associate at Brighter Bites, where responsibilities included managing relationships with underserved elementary schools and supervising volunteers for produce distribution. Devia gained experience as a circular economy intern at the City of Austin, coordinating outreach and logistics for the MoveOutATX program, which successfully diverted significant materials from landfills. Additional experience includes co-leading the Green Events project at The Campus Environmental Center, where initiatives focused on circular waste management and zero waste events. Devia's background also includes roles as an undergraduate teaching assistant at the University of Texas at Austin, where academic support was provided to students in health care and history courses. Devia earned a Bachelor's degree in Sustainability Studies from the University of Texas at Austin in 2022.
