Laura Young

Laura Young has a diverse background in education and management within the sciences, currently serving as Curriculum Manager - Science at North East Scotland College since May 2017. Laura's roles have included Senior Lecturer and Lecturer in Biology with Chemistry. Additionally, Laura has been an External Verifier with the Scottish Qualifications Authority since September 2021 and has contributed as a Committee Member and Secretary for Science Aberdeen since May 2019. Prior experience includes committee roles with the British Science Association, and various positions at the University of Aberdeen, including Events and Engagement Executive. Laura holds multiple relevant qualifications, including a Professional Development Award in Internal Verification and a Certificate in Management and Leadership from the Chartered Management Institute. Academic credentials include a Master of Philosophy in Molecular Toxicology and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Durham University.
