James Gafney

James Gafney is an experienced aviation professional with a diverse background in both military and civilian aviation. Currently serving as a B767-300ER Captain at Northern Air Cargo since November 2020, Gafney previously held the position of First Officer at PSA Airlines, Inc. from November 2018 to November 2020. Gafney has also served as President and Chief Flight Instructor at Air Medal Aviation & Consulting and as a Certified Flight Instructor at Falcon Aviation Academy. Additionally, Gafney worked as a Flight Training Affiliate Student Advisor for Liberty University Online Programs and accumulated nearly 24 years of experience as a US Army Aviator, with multiple roles including AH-1F mechanic and CH-47D crew member. Gafney holds a B.S. in Aeronautics from Liberty University and a B.S. in Aviation Technology from Thomas Edison State University.
