Alan Bannister

Alan Bannister, MPSA, currently serves as the Security Manager at Northside Gwinnett Hospital, overseeing security operations for both Northside Gwinnett and Northside Duluth Hospital campuses since September 2024. Prior to this role, Alan held the position of Code Enforcement Manager for the City of Lawrenceville from January 2023 to September 2024. Alan's extensive career in law enforcement includes nearly 25 years at the Lawrenceville Police Department, where responsibilities included serving as Uniform Shift Commander, Field Training Coordinator, POST Instructor, and managing critical incident response and community event planning. Earlier experience includes positions as a Police Officer with Gwinnett County Police and Athens Clarke County. Alan's academic credentials include a Master's degree in Public Safety Administration from Columbus State University, a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Shorter University, and a background in Criminal Justice from Gwinnett Technical College.
