Tom Cushing

Tom Cushing, RN, is an experienced healthcare professional with a comprehensive background in nursing and information technology. Currently serving as Principal Advisor for IT&S Strategic Planning at Northwell Health since June 2010, Tom has played a key role in the Epic EMR Transformation and holds leadership positions in clinical IT strategy. Previously, Tom held various roles at Northwell Health, including Director of Clinical IT Strategy & Planning and Director of Information Services at Southside Hospital, where significant advancements in electronic medical records were achieved. In addition to healthcare roles, Tom is an Adjunct Professor at Adelphi University, educating future nurses in informatics. Academic qualifications include a Master of Science in Nursing Leadership from Stony Brook University and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Adelphi University.
