NWSRA exists to provide outstanding opportunities through recreation for children and adults with disabilities.  NWSRA strives for each participant to function at his/her highest level of ability. Benefits of participation include increased socialization and community awareness, development of new leisure skills, increased physical and emotional well being, and increased self esteem, all in a fun, safe and structured recreation environment.

The Inclusion Support Team at NWSRA works to integrate children and adults with disabilities into mainstream recreational programs within 17 partnering park districts. This team provides tailored support and accommodations to ensure that all participants can engage fully and safely in activities, enhancing their social skills, community awareness, physical and emotional wellbeing, and self-esteem. By fostering an inclusive environment, they help participants reach their highest potential while enjoying recreational opportunities.
