Yanna Anne Chimwaza Ph.D.

Yanna Anne Chimwaza PhD, FHEA, FCCA is an Associate Research Fellow and Associate Lecturer in Economics and Finance at Nottingham Trent University, where tenure commenced in October 2019. Additionally, Yanna serves as a Financial Management Professional Level Examiner for ACCA since September 2021. Yanna holds the position of Principal Examiner at the Reserve Bank of Malawi, contributing to the supervision of the Insurance Companies department, focusing on the assessment of performance and regulatory compliance. Prior experience includes work as an Audit Senior at Deloitte Malawi from January 2006 to March 2010, where responsibilities involved planning audits and reviewing financial statements, and an Accounts Assistant role at Boc Malawi in 2004. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Economics from Nottingham Trent University, a Master's Degree in Finance, and a Bachelor of Accounting from the University of Malawi.
