Shayan Karimipour

Shayan Karimipour, PhD, PEng, PMP, currently serves as the Digital Transformation Lead for Quality & Customer Experience at NOVA Chemicals, where Shayan leads a team focused on designing and implementing digital solutions to enhance efficiency across various domains. Previously, Shayan held positions as a Senior Research Engineer, Staff Technology Engineer at ExxonMobil, and Staff Engineer at BASF, contributing extensive expertise in process technology, troubleshooting, and optimizing operations for safety and profitability. Shayan's career also includes roles as Technical Specialist at ANSYS, Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Alberta, GHG Analyst at the University of Saskatchewan, Floor Coordinator at Canadian Light Source Inc., and Research Assistant during the PhD program at the University of Saskatchewan. Shayan holds a PhD in Chemical Engineering from the University of Saskatchewan, an MSc from the University of Tehran, and a BSc from Iran University of Science and Technology.
