Eric Paul Pâques

Dr. Pâques joined the company as Non-Executive Chairman of the Board of Directors in 2017. He is also Non-Executive Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Proteros Biostructure GmbH (Munich, Germany), member of the boards of several academic and charity organizations and professor at the RWTH Aachen University in Germany. Previously Dr. Pâques was an independent director of INC Research Inc., later Syneos Health (Raleigh, USA), and vice chairman of the supervisory board of the Grünenthal Group in Aachen, Germany. Dr. Pâques served more than 20 years as general manager and CEO of the Grünenthal Group. Before joining Grünenthal, Dr. Pâques served as SVP at Behring, the biological branch of Hoechst Pharma (later HMR and Aventis). Dr. Pâques studied chemistry at the University of Louvain in Belgium, followed by a doctoral thesis and a postdoc at the Max-Planck-Institute of Biochemistry in Munich, Germany and the agrégation (AES) at Université Catholique de Louvain.
