Robert M. Barr

Robert M. Barr, MD, FACR, has extensive experience in both leadership and clinical practice within the field of radiology. Serving as President of the American Board of Radiology since October 2017, previously holding roles as President Elect and Secretary-Treasurer, Barr also holds multiple leadership positions at Novant Health, including Chair of the Board of Trustees. As a radiologist at Mecklenburg Radiology since 1995, Robert M. has also served as President. Barr's commitment to health policy is reflected in advisory roles at the Harvey L. Neiman Health Policy Institute and committee memberships at the American College of Radiology and American Society of Neuroradiology, where Barr served as President from 2019 to 2020. Barr's educational background includes a Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of California, San Francisco, and a Bachelor of Arts in Biochemistry from Harvard University.
