Arlan Peters

Arlan Peters currently serves as the Head of North America Sustainability at Novonesis since January 2024, focusing on enhancing lives through biological innovation. Prior to this role, Peters was the Head of Sustainability for Novozymes North America from August 2009 to January 2024, where responsibilities included leading sustainability initiatives, collaborating with NGOs and policymakers, and founding the Sustainability Consortium. Earlier experience includes serving as Regional Marketing Manager and Business Development Associate at Novozymes, where marketing strategy for biofuels in Asia was managed, and sales support was provided through market analysis. Additional roles include Alliance Coordinator at the US Agency for International Development and Program Manager at the Ministry of Education of Japan. Arlan Peters holds an MBA in Business Administration with a focus on Marketing and Sustainable Enterprise from UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School and a BA in Biology from Oberlin College.
