Lisbeth Vallecilla Yepez

Lisbeth Vallecilla Yepez is a Scientist I at Novonesis since January 2024 and has concurrently worked as a Scientist I at Novozymes since September 2022. Prior experience includes a doctoral researcher role in Biological Engineering at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, focusing on the conversion of lignocellulosic biomasses to biofuels, biomaterials, and bioproducts. Lisbeth also served as a Master Research Assistant in Food Lipid Chemistry & Processing, where expertise was developed in supercritical carbon dioxide technology and fatty acid analysis. Earlier positions involved research in food safety microbiology, chemical instruction, and as a Research and Development Engineer, specializing in activated carbon production and combustion efficiency. Lisbeth holds a PhD in Biological/Biosystems Engineering and an M.S. in Food Science and Technology from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, as well as a Bachelor of Chemical Engineering from Universidad Nacional de Colombia.
