Malaka Gharib is an accomplished editor and digital strategist with extensive experience in global health, poverty, and education advocacy. Currently serving as the Editor for Life Kit and Global Health & Global Development at NPR since September 2015, Gharib engages audiences through storytelling and interactive content. Previous roles include Digital Strategist at Malala Fund, managing digital strategy for Malala Yousafzai’s advocacy work, and Senior Digital Manager at The ONE Campaign, where Gharib enhanced online engagement and content reach. Earlier experience includes positions at Virilion, Al Jazeera English, and internships in various media and marketing roles. Gharib holds a BS in Marketing and Magazine Journalism from Syracuse University.
