Meredith Jones

Meredith Jones currently holds the position of A/ Executive Director Communications at the NSW Department of Planning and Environment since March 2023, previously serving as Director of Engagement Monitoring and Evaluation. Prior to this role, Meredith served as Director of Communications and Engagement for Sydney WorldPride 2023 from February 2021 to March 2023, and Director of Engagement at the Greater Sydney Commission from January 2017 to March 2023. Earlier experience includes A/Executive Director of Communications and Engagement at the Greater Sydney Commission and Director of Strategic Communications at the NSW Department of Education from October 2008 to December 2016. Meredith also has a background in community and media relations as Manager at Fire & Rescue NSW in 2003-2004. Educational qualifications include a degree in Arts from the University of Sydney and a Master of Legal Studies from the University of Technology Sydney.
