Heather McKellar

Heather McKellar is an accomplished executive director at the Neuroscience Institute of NYU Langone Health, where responsibilities include directing education and community engagement initiatives, overseeing graduate programs, outreach programs, and various internal and external communications. With experience as a senior manager and program coordinator, Heather has also contributed to the Society for Neuroscience as a member of the Public Education and Communication Committee and serves as president of the Greater New York City Chapter of the Society for Neuroscience, focusing on education and advocacy in brain science. Heather completed a PhD in Neuroscience at Columbia University and a BA in Biology with a concentration in Neuroscience at Boston University. Prior research experience includes a postdoctoral fellowship at Columbia University investigating schizophrenia and psychiatric disease.
