Katherine Helen Fisher

Katherine Helen Fisher is a highly experienced professional in the field of dance and academia, currently serving as a Visiting Assistant Professor at New York University since June 2023. Fisher has been the Director of Safety Third Productions since January 2013 and recently consulted for the Jacob's Pillow Dance Festival on new media and technology initiatives from October 2022 to April 2023. Previous roles include Guest Lecturer at The Peabody Institute of The Johns Hopkins University and a decade-long tenure as a core company member and soloist with the Lucinda Childs Dance Company, including participation in the 2012 revival of the Philip Glass opera "Einstein On The Beach." Fisher's extensive performance background also includes work with MOMIX, ODC/Dance, and Jennifer Muller/The Works. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree in Dance from Sarah Lawrence College and a BFA in Dance from New York University.
