Manal Syed is an experienced legal and public policy professional currently serving as a Legal Compliance and Regulatory Intern at Edcetera since May 2023. Simultaneously, Manal works as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at New York University School of Law, assisting Professor Deborah Archer in research on issues like housing discrimination and mass incarceration. As a writer for Full Potential, Manal reports on international stories focusing on the SWANA region to empower women and advocate for their agency. Additional roles include serving as a Teaching Assistant at NYU and as an Executive Board Member for NYU's Muslim Student Association, where Manal developed a mentorship program. As a founding Board Member of the Northern Illinois Association of Muslim Americans, Manal actively engages in civic initiatives. Previous experience includes interning for the Illinois House of Representatives Office and both the Lake County and Cook County State's Attorney's Offices.
