Tanzina Vega

Tanzina Vega is an accomplished journalist and educator with a diverse background in media, focusing on issues of race, inequality, and social justice. Currently serving as an adjunct professor of journalism at New York University, Vega also contributes as a writer for The Boston Globe's opinion section. As the founder of La Mala Media, Vega provides strategic media services and fosters accessible storytelling. Previous roles include editor at Charter, host of WNYC Radio's The Takeaway, national reporter for CNN, and various positions at The New York Times. Vega holds a master's degree in Digital Journalism from the Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism at CUNY and a bachelor's degree in Sociology from Stony Brook University.
