Alexandra Kennaugh is an accomplished professional in wildlife conservation and policy, currently serving as the Head of Wildlife Conservation & Trade and previously as a Program Officer at the Oak Foundation since November 2016. Prior to this role, Alexandra was with the Natural Resources Defense Council from January 2004 to November 2016, where responsibilities included overseeing a multi-disciplinary team, managing strategic partnerships, and directing communication plans for various environmental portfolios. Alexandra's expertise in wildlife trade is highlighted by extensive research, including a focus on improving demand reduction strategies for rhino horn trade in China. Earlier experience includes serving as Director of Operations at Shared Interest, aimed at community and conservation development in southern Africa. Educational credentials include a Master's degree in Public Policy from Duke University, a PhD in Zoology/Animal Biology from the University of Oxford, and a Bachelor's degree in Philosophy from Colorado College.
